Nice photo, but you've made me wistful. I love Death Valley, been there four times now. Having seen your picture, next summer's holiday is now decided! Thanks.

Thank you very much for your comment, glad to have served of inspiration - enjoy your holiday! Even though, after going to DV the first time in summer back in 2010 I decided "never again" and now I always go in winter. Can't wait to be there at the end of January for my Workshop!

Yep, that's the way to create a foreground

And I suspect it's no accident that those lines start off from the frame corners... Very well executed in every way.
