Birding with non birding lens
Lens: FA77 F1.8 Ltd Camera: K1
Posted By: kengoh, 12-02-2017, 12:03 AM

Just happened to pass by and encounter this bird.
Didn't carry my 300mm or 500mm lens, can only use my available FA77 F1.8 Ltd lens
Sharing shots of this parrot during my few minutes of shooting.

at a further distance but with K1's 36MP FF after cropped is still not too bad

Closeup portrait

Thanks for viewing.

I certainly wouldn't find anything to complain about with these shots, all are crisply detailed and colourful and exciting.

offer a domestic parrot like an African Grey a cooked chicken leg and stand back if you want to see some near cannibalism. I was shocked when an acquaintance gave her Grey one.
I though it was all seeds and fruit and sunshine!

Well-captured! Superb fine detail, especially of a bird-in-flight.

Just shows, being closer with a shorter lens often is often a better image, if you can manage it. You own't find a telephoto that matches the MTF numbers of the 77 ltd.

What more can one say, except, "Most Impressive." Thanks for a great series.
