A delay on my KLM flight in from Amsterdam and an unusually long Tube-ride meant that instead of a whole afternoon in this wonderful city, I was left with only a few hours to spare before work kicks in tomorrow. All shots were triple exposures (-2, 0 and +2) merged in LuminanceHDR and edited in digiKam and Gimp2.9. Finl images were denoised and sharpened with NeatImage (native Linux version).

I had various jobs in the City of London from 1958 to 1966, it seems to have changed just a tad. Picture 3 reminded me that St. Paul's, when I knew it, was mostly surrounded by rubble, it was actually black from centuries of coal fires and it was being cleaned to reveal the colour of the original Portland Stone. It cost 6d to go up to the first outside gallery and I think 1/- to go all the way up to just under the cross. Somewhere I have a whole series of slides I took of the city from the first gallery level.
