He's looking pretty good for going on 17-years-old, don't you think? I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. He's half Scotty, half Jack Russell, but somewhere along the genetic trail, the Jack Russell genes got lost. He goes by the name, "Buckwheat." I've had a lot of dogs in my life, but he's probably the smartest of the bunch. Sneaky, conniving and clever!

Very handsome looking k-9. Great detail as that M-50 f/1.7 has some beautiful glass. Excellent work.

He's a good looking dog...17 years old ! I had a terrier/poodle years ago, name of Willy. Well named as he certainly had an over supply of will, he was also clever , conniving and sneaky. Think it was the terrier in him.

Distinguished? Hmmm.... let me think on that for a while! He's quite a character, though. Occasionally, some of the neighborhood kids will come to the door and ask, "Can Buckwheat come out and play?" I let him out in the front yard and tell "my kids" to let him back in when they get through playing. Although I have no fence around my front yard, he's been trained not to venture off of the property. He's so gentle with the children. I really enjoy watching them interact with each other. I'll bet you've never seen a dog that will sneeze on command, eh?

Thank you all for the kind words about Mr. Buckwheat. Unfortunately, he passed over the Rainbow Bridge about four months ago. He was my best friend and a true companion and I was blessed to have had him as a wonderful part of my life for almost 17 years. Things just aren't the same around here without him. I can still feel his presence and still see his little ghost from time to time. Sigh!

All the best,

Thank you, Stephen. His loss was a real family tragedy, as he had been a big part of all of our lives. The little neighborhood children took his loss very hard and created this memorial on my driveway in his honor.
