Lens: Samyang 14 mm Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Ventura ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/25s Aperture: F13.5

Facing the mountains, I caught this truck cruising very fast, heading northbound on US 101 north of Ventura, California. This entire hillside is now burning.

At first the crash barrier made me think it was a train, a very nice idea for a different shot.

Even here we have seen the fires on the news, must be very worrying for anybody in the location.

Hillside is starting to recover now, there's some green on it.

What a fascinating and exciting photo! The serene hill and the frantically moving vehicle make a compelling combination.
