NZ Trip
Posted By: rojaba, 12-16-2017, 10:15 AM

Just returned from my trip to New Zealand, an amazing place to take the odd picture. I realise there are quite a few but compared to the thousands of shots I took this is quite a limited number, I can assure you

In any case, an amazing place which I warmly recommend everybody should visit. Hope you like the selection.

Gorgeous photos. Yes, it is a magical place I was lucky enough to visit years ago - the North Island, anyway. I immediately recognized Rotorua and Huka Falls, among others. Brings back some great memories! Feel free to post more if you have them - thanks for sharing!

The most amazing thing about it: it was taken with a 15 mm lens, so you can imagine how close I had to get. The little rascal did not flinch

You took really impressive shots there!
--> Quick Advice: Try to convert the 4th photo (the landscape with a stick at the bottom right corner) to black&white and reduce the contrast. It would look quite peaceful that way in my opinion.
Happy shooting, keep chasing the light.

I mean the Kea photo. I'm a new member so I couldn't figure out how to reply properly yet. :P

Have never had the privilege of visiting New Zealand and certainly do look forward to the day. I was surprised to learn via an issue of National Geographic that New Zealand does in fact, have Fjords. One usually thinks of Fjords exclusively in Scandinavia. As I recall New Zealand is second only to China in production and export of the Kiwi Fruit. Anyway, wonderful series and thanks so much for sharing in this Forum.
