Oklahoma doesn't see much snow in the winter... freezing rain being the preferred form of precipitation.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. I bought the lens from an elderly gent who was about to move into a nursing home. He had rarely used it. I did not know much about the lens, either, but I really enjoy using it.

A good series, indeed. Reminds me of winter when I was growing up in southern Illinois.

Thanks, Jer. Were you anywhere near the Ferne Clyffe St Park? One of these days I'd like to grab my camera and visit for a while in that area.

We lived in Mt. Vernon, then about an hour's drive north of Ferne Clyffe - I spent many a summer Sunday with my folks there in the '50s. There are a couple of other parks also worth seeing southern Illinois - Giant City (near Carbondale and Southern Illinois University) and Bell Smith Springs, which has a fairly impressive natural bridge (in Swanee National Forest area south of Harrisburg).
