My last photo of 2017
Lens: DA*16-50 + 1.4x AW Camera: K5II Photo Location: Illinois ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: 1/3200s Aperture: F7.1

Had some time off this week and headed down to Illinois where I grew up.
Photo taken from my moms property.
Town put up a windmill to generate power for the Junior High School.
It is about a quarter mile from the house and when it spins you can feel the vibration in the ground and hear it move the air.

Lovely capture...very few big sky shots can avoid the obligatory jet trails these days.

Me too - very cool effect. You capped off the year with a winner, for sure.

I grew up in Mt. Vernon, so I'm familiar with the "look" of rural Illinois.
