Interested to see the reaction to this one. I really like it but I know this sort of thing isn't everyone's idea of good photography.

don't think its bad, but I think you could get a better effect going with desaturation or sepia. The tones are to much red, and as this shoot is werry lov in light it would work well in sepia tones or desaturation.

composition is great, mood/expression is personal but it made me study it for awhile ...was he listening to someone or was it a captured moment in thought?

Something else for sure, interesting and I like it, wish there was more of his shoulder in sight, would perhaps give a more attached look?

I rather like it.... nicely composed... the expression and lighting give it a somber tone. I'm not generally a fan of heavy-handed post-processing, however, in this case, I feel it adds to the shot. It's an image that makes me feel sad. An image that makes a viewer feel.... whatever that might be.... is a success.

Had a bit of a interesting mood to it.. Like the shot though the a little less red throughout the shot would work too... Nice shooting. JIMBO
