I do a lot of self promotion on Facebook, Instagram, etc. Some of the photos I take might end up in a publication, so I'm always striving for the best shot. Any criticism or suggestions is appreciated. My description of this photo:

I'm working on 40-mile awards for this year's Uwharrie Mountain Run - a pint glass. I'll have the shape down by the time I make a hundred.

I'd make the icon larger!

Your thumb is cut off at a poor location--suggest you make the entire thumb show.

I'll throw my two cents in. Maybe a less busy background of an opposing color to highlight your work.
