. . . . . . . . . . Fuzzy-Tailed Janus, an amazing (but seldom seen) fish that can propel itself by flopping - pancake like - onto dry land before flopping back into the water, the creature's natural habitat. I was fortunate to catch this one on a walkway rail at the Texas Sea Center. However, rare as it is, I'm not the first to see this example of the two-faced Janus; note that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has attached a tag to the fish in order to research its habits. Don't let the smiles fool you; these things can bite!
