Pin Oak Leaf
Lens: DA*16~50mm Camera: K5II Photo Location: Wisconsin ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F5.6

Thought I would take a photo of this leaf.
Found it interesting that it looks like the leaf is melting the snow/ice around and beneath it causing it to sink into the snow.

Good lighting and contrasts with plenty of detail.

This shot is so nicely done - an interesting subject: leaf quite literally framed with snow. And - as EM says - exceptional detail and sharpness. Good catch, for sure.

Interesting leaf, never seen such a slimmed down and svelte oak leaf before and I like how the leaf seems to be starting the process of making a snow angel .

Great shot. Lighting, composition, and detail. A simple subject captured in an exceptional way.

Thank you all for the kind comments.
I think I will print an 8.5 x 11 and hang it in my office.

Very cool! I also think the simple composition works well.
