Landscape The Glow on the Hill

This is the Vista House on Crown Point, overlooking the Columbia River Gorge at sunset. I was trying for a different effect other than the standard tourist's landscape photograph.

I haven't seen a standard tourist's landscape photo, but this looks very nice!

Thanks, Jim. I'm quite sure you're familiar with this area. It's hard to capture the absolute grandness of the gorge. I'm anxious to go back, now that I have the Tamron 10 - 24mm lens.

A good composition with plenty of depth and attractive light on the cliff face. Perhaps a little noisy due to the high ISO?

Yes, I ran the ISO up hoping to impart the noise, to add to the painterly feeling. It's also severely cropped to gain more.... actually less detail, plus I tweaked the tone curves a little.
