Snowy and the Moon
Posted By: Weevil, 01-27-2018, 01:03 AM

(x-posted)
I was lucky enough to cross this Snowy Owl today... It flew from a top of a barn to the top of a tree, where the moon filled the background.
I have to tell it's my lady that provided me the idea to position myself in order to cath them both in the frame... Thanks to my beloved! :-)

Handheld with Pentax K-3II + HD Rear Converter 1.4x + DA*300f4 (420mm) ... Another good example of the quality of the Pentax HD TC 1.4x...
1/800s, ƒ/13, ISO 1250

That is really great Weevil. Is it a crop of the image or the whole capture? How close were you to get that shot? on a Tripod?
I am jealous, you can see why in my gallery.

It is a crop, from original 4000x 6016 px (original size) to 2123 x 2654px, so about 1:4 Zoom in Lr...
It was shot handheld with my K-3II + HDTC 1.4x + DA*300mmf4

He was on a top of a big cottonwood (Poplar) near the street...
I was the other side of the street, maybe 30 ft outside in the field...

Thanks again !

Thank you for that info. I just noticed you mentionned handheld in the original description.
