Heritage Museum in Santa Ana. I went back yesterday for some more details...

This would have been impressive, I'm sure, had there been actual water in it.

The garden area.

On the trail which passes by more plows, corn peelers, and cream separators, etc.

Detail of a mural on a trailer.

This leads to the highest point in Santa Ana, maybe 30 feet up.

Looking toward "Saddleback".

The museum property and the Maag house. The blacksmith shop is behind the trees on the left. The open Kellogg house is way the heck over there, unseen, in the far corner.

Adobe.

In the Kellogg house.

Mama's hair.

The telephone directory from 1899.

The white sign was put in the window to indicate how much ice was needed that day.

Cookbook.

Dining room floor design.

The office has its own entrance.

Hiram liked ships. He traveled for business to Hawaii, where he built two dams.

In the bathroom.

Newport Beach is a few miles away.

School books.

Art slate instructions.

The Kellogg family tree, from Hiram Clay Kellogg the first to Hiram V.

Another try, without the other person's legs in the shot...

Third floor "crow's nest" and authentic ship's mast.

Dining room.

Office, again.

The original batch is

I especially like these landscapes, showing what the area is like in its natural state.
