Dear Pentax community,
Some time ago I asked for suggestions for lenses to use whilst photographing the northern lights in Iceland. You people were really helpful in helping me decide what to purchase. In the end I purchased a Rokininon 14 MM F2.8 to go with my K1. It was great. We did manage to see the lights and here are two of the images I was able to obtain.
Kind regards
Ian Pegram

looks like a combination of -

1 not being afraid to ask for help

2 making up your mind

3 you choosing good equipment - camera and lens

4 your knowledge [ old and new ] and

5 your good ability about what to do with the equipment

thanks for sharing

Beautiful work! I love the first one, the house and people really puts "scale" into the landscape. I'm also a little jealous of the people standing there looking at the skies...

Very nice, I've ordered this lens but it's not here yet (it has cleared customs though.) This is helping me get even more pumped for it's arrival.

They are both lovely images. I am also partial to the first one, and a little envious of the people out watching the lights. I have seen them covering over half the sky but it was while training North of the Arctic circle in the military so I couldn't go back to the lodge or hotel for a toddy! Hope you had fun.

Oh yes, definitely go to Iceland. It is not just the northern lights though. The scenery is stunning and the people there are so friendly and always happy to share a laugh. Fabulous place to visit.
