Lighthouse at "Hammeren"

Very nice shot. Since I've been making the tour of lighthouses lately I find this rather cool.

I think the lower part of the photo looks overdone, but the top part is great

That is really cool. It almost doesn't look real. Did you do any pp work on it or is that how it came out of the camera? I love the colors.

I don't know what he used, but everything is complimentary- greens, blues and greys- and moody.

when i first saw HDR, i thought it was cool.
now, not so much.

i think it'd be a better shot straight up.

composition is great though.

It looks like a nice HDR but with a nice adjustment on the tones to create the mood

Hi again and thanks for the comments.

No this isn't straight out of the box.

I don't know the official definition of HDR, however this is created from one image adjusting highlights, shadows, levels, saturation and contrast. Cropped and sharpened.

For those interested, this is what I had to work with:


I know that different people like different things, I wanted a more artistic look on this one...

Well done, agree that it looks like a painting, nice how the foreground and the sky are in balance!
