These were always call as kid that Mountain Lowry for round the Cranky Corner/Hunter Valley. Great photos. cheers

Thank you! I hadn't heard that name, but I see now that it's popular in some areas and was as early name for it. I wonder if the similar Lorikeet came from a combination of Lowry and Parakeet? Actually I think Bernard O'Reilly might have referred to the name Lowry in his tale about his youth in the Blue Mountains.
