Shedding Lizard
Lens: Sigma DC 18-250 Macro HSM Camera: Pentax K-3 Photo Location: Cypress, TX ISO: 160 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F6.3
Posted By: Tom WM, 02-11-2018, 11:10 AM

I looked out my back window and saw a strange whitish thing on my wife's plant. I thought "what the heck is that?" and went out to investigate. It turned out to be a lizard shedding it's skin, so I ran in, got my camera, and took a few shots. Apparently they eat their skin in the process. I live in the outskirts of Houston, and though it's not exactly in the country, I have a creek running behind the house and get a fair amount of critters that visit.

Wonderful capture. So close in and so sharp with beautiful color rendition and the Bokeh is truly awesome. Many thanks.

Thanks, Mark, Fozz, and Gina for your kind words! Yes, I guess you could say he is a green lizard in more ways than one.
