Here are some images from the last few.....
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 09-01-2008, 05:23 PM

.....days, didn't have a connection for a while but am hooked up now. I am in Burlington, Ontario right now and will continue on my journey Thursday morning.

This first on is from Northern Ontario, just happened to see the fog rise and stopped for a few minutes

This one is from the Agawa Rock Pictographs. This is as far as I ventured, I was not going to subject my aging bones and muscels to climb down there and try to balance myself and camera on that slope. (remember I had problems walking on level ground)

Just a tiny bee type bug

A tiny beetle

A mourning dove

A Cross Bill

And a praying grackle

All taken with K10D and DFA 100 macro or Bigma

Comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Really nice series. I love the reflections of the grass in the incredibly still water. The lifesaving ring in the second picture is neat as it draws you down to the water to see why you would need it.

Glad they finally ran a line to burlington (just kidding)
That looks like a really beautiful area Heinrich, at least in summer (I don't like snow) thanks for sharing them. That crossbill is cool, I've never seen one of those. I wouldn't walk out there either

Heinrich, great photos as always. I should have payed better attention to the forum because you seem to be right down the QEW and I could have shown you some nice spots for photos. I see you still have a day or so in the area, if you want some location suggestions just send me a message.

Hi Tom and thank you. That was the first crossbill (or is it crossbeak?) that I saw as well.

Take care,

Wow Heinrich, you have been doing a grand tour it seems. Wonderful pictures as usual, the beetle macro is something else. I think without a doubt the first shot is the best of them but I have to say (and this is the first time I saw a shot of yours that I felt needed cropping) I like it without the sky, just the fog. I think that crop makes that shot spectacular.
Of the bird shots, I like the grackle most of all.
It is always a pleasure to view your output.

Hi Gary, thank you and thanks for the feed back. Is this what you sort of had in mind?
