Snake Eyes + 2 others

Hey everyone,
here's a few pics from the weekend. It wasn't overly productive, but a few decent shots are better than nothing at all, eh?

Snake Eyes:

taken on my dining room table, with a homemade snoot on a Vivitar 285HV flash.
Lens: Pentax FA 28-70 f/4

Hoosac Tunnel entrance (eastern portal) - visited again over the weekend. What an awesome place that's turning out to be. And there's a nice waterfall 10 or 15 minutes up the trail from there.

Lens: FA 28-70 f/4

Looks like a great weekend to me

I would be stoked to get those shots over a weekend. I enjoyed all three.

The Snake eyes and that wonderful tunnel shot would be pics of the year in my world...
A nice weekend worth of work

Nice pair.
Love the tunnel shot.
Nice third shot, would have been really cool if you could have shot through those binoculars.

Dan, great shots as usual. The mood is impeccable from all three photos. The last shot is something I have yet seen and it has the best mood.

Great photos! I like the simplicity of the first, the mood of the last two and the peaceful colour gradation in the last photo!

All three of these are great shots. If I had to pick a favorite, I would be torn between the 2nd and 3rd one. Thanks.

Thanks, Gus. I suppose I'm much too critical of my own stuff sometimes. Trust me, last weekend wasn't so kind to me, light was very mixed and shots came out badly. There was a heavy blue tint from overhead cloudless sky, along with warm yellows and greens reflecting low sun - on a shot I was attempting of a waterfall... the resulting shot(s) weren't pretty. But I always relish getting outdoors anyway, even if I don't get a good shot.

That's a great idea, Gary! - next time I'll bring quarters and maybe get a hint of light through the "eyes" of the binocs...

Last one seems to have an early lead eh? I agree I really like how that one came out.
