Not yet the time of the autumn colour spectacle, but late summer too has something to offer:

Hello Gawan,
Your images are beautiful! My favorite is the first one. I like the contrast between the muted and green colors.

There is very good balance in the first photo and the contrast in foliage between the green and brown is beautiful. You did well to keep the sky out of this shot.

You have beautiful summer colors Georg. Summer in my area is all brown. The only thing that is green is the sage brush. Your summer looks like my spring! Pretty.

They are wonderful Georg. The second one isn't Bilbo Baggins house is it? What a cunningly concealed entrance.

No, this is:

Haha, found that in Alexandria Virginia last year on vacation. To be honest though, this place is a fine eating establishment and the food was excellent.

Thanks JMR, I really cropped the picture to get rid of the overexposed sky...

Thank you LaRee! Well, they say it is greener on the other side, I have always admired the magnificent browns, reds, okras and other colours of desert areas for example, there the saying works also if not literally

Thanks Gary, there was a squirrel having it's food chamber by that rock as far as I could see...

LOL, do they serve that wonderful bread Frodo and Sam had to survive on their voyage?

That first one looks like the remnants of a dragon's demise with the forest in the last stages of covering it. I like #1 and #2. I agree it looks like Bilbo's house.
