Miles from anywhere, literally I do mean miles.

Just there in dappled morning light... yelling at me "take my picture Mister"

I feel you, Martin. Sometimes, there's no rhyme or reason for taking a photo other than it just "said something to you." As far as I'm concerned, there's no other reason necessary! Right on, my friend. ("Right on" is a carry over from my "hey Dude" days!)

Aye but it was good enough to stand on a third for me... and be red.

Nice.. The ones we have here are not as red. Which reminds me of a story I read in a newspaper recently. This Russian journalist goes to London and sees a painter painting a phone booth. So he asks him if "this particular shade of colour has a name?" "But of course, sir" says the painter, "it's called red".

Some day the mail carrier will go to pick up the mail after going there everyday at 12:45pm and find a letter in there and it will have all been worth it.

The reason our mailboxes are not red, is because we do not have Royal Mail. In fact, our Postal Service is so slow now, it is referred to as: Snail Mail. Used to be the Pony Express. Should have kept it that way. (

Very nice photograph,sir.
