Superb, Tony! I think if you'll notice, your 100mm lens is a 1:2 macro.

Hi Dewey,

This is off of the lens: SMC Pentax-M Macro 1:4 100mm. If you are referring to the distance scale, yes you are correct. It even goes a little past the number 2.

Thanks for your positive comment.

If it's the lens you bought from me, I'm almost certain it's a 1:2 ratio.... but, I've been wrong before. The 1:4 you're seeing is the maximum aperture opening.

Okay, there are numbers in front of the barrel, just below the filter ring. The numbers start at 25 and go down to 2 and just past 2. Right above the lens aperture, there is a distance scale. Turning the scale all the way to the right, it reads: Feet 1.48 and in Meters it reads: 0.45. That is all the info I have on this lens. Yes, this is the one I purchased from you. The numbers are in this way: 25 15 10 8 6 5 4 3.5 3 2.5 2.2 and 2.

Tony, look at the review of the lens. It says: "Max. magnification: 0.5x." That means 1:2 ratio macro magnification! Also, check out the sharpness rating! A stellar 9.9! It don't get much better than that, my fine flower photographer!

No problem. That lens has really kicked you into high gear with your flower photos! Two thumbs up, mon' ami.
