Morning Dew.
Lens: HD DA 35mm Macro Camera: K-70 ISO: 125 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F5

A weed that is slowly taking over the lawn. Hesitant to mow them down because whatever they are the bees love 'em.

Awesome photo, and you have to keep those bees happy or else there would be no honey...

If that subject is truly a weed, it certainly is the most beautiful that I have ever seen. Very nice capture. Everything about it is just about as perfect as can be. Well done.

Thank you bertwert. We'd be in big trouble without bees. When we had the farm I ran three hives for about four years. We extracted some honey but was mostly to ensure good pollination of our crops.

Just looked it up and it is Lamium purpureum. Purple Dead Nettle. Native to Europe and Asia. A member of the mint family. Provides bees with an early source of nectar. Very invasive. But I agree with you. A nice looking weed.
