Your weird pictures
Posted By: dws1117, 09-05-2008, 08:09 PM

We all have them. Those pictures we've taken every time we get a new camera or lens. Those "test shots" or those shots when your were just in a weird mood. Here's a couple of mine. Let's see yours.

Taken with the K100D. I think I was testing a lens but I really don't know.

This was with the K200 testing the Sigma 105 macro. Yes it's a close up of bird poop.

Dinner. This was one where the wife and kids were telling me to put down the camera so they could eat.

Ok, I am game.

Here is a shot that breaks all the rules, but that I feel is strangely compelling!

Here are some of the first few photos with a brand new lens, minutes after the postman knocked on my door!

I'll let you guess what lens that is...

I don't know if it's weird that my wife and I like to capture these kinds of traumatizing moments in our children's lives, or maybe just mean. He was of course being forced to eat something he didn't like...

That sounds like torture to me.
It's a great, funny picture though.

I don't know if this is weird but it is a test shot. This is my first ever DSLR shot it is ALSO my first SLR anything shot EVER.
Closest was a Russian rangefinder over thirty years ago.
K10D and kit 18-55 December 23 2006.

You want weird? I got weird!

This image showed up on my *ist DS. I do not remember taking it or what it possibly could be. I have enlarged it, rotated it, sharpened it and looked at it until my eyes hurt, I have no idea what the hell it is. It was the first shot of a series I took two years ago while at a convention in Vancouver, B.C. It has only been re-sized web viewing.

Just dunno.

On the same trip I took a picture of a weird 'thing'.

It is a 'work of art' in one of the parks by the waterfront in Vancouver.
Yep, it is an upside down church.
Weird for sure.

oh, I've got LOTS of images that are weird! here's a couple of them.

First, I am strangely compelled to take a picture of my truck when it's loaded, here's last week just before a dump run:

second, an 8-second hand-held exposure while walking through an amusement park at night. I think my family and friends are in the foreground of this one.
