Inside the kiln
Lens: DA 55-300; @120 Camera: k5lls Photo Location: Seagrove, NC ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F13.5

This is a very clever photo, in my view. At first it seems like an abstract - but as you stare at it, the pottery piece emerges from the background. Nice job.

Thank you Jer. I passed up a couple of photos I did using a flash. I was attracted to just what you describe - the pottery emerging from the background - as you put it so well.

The second one is terrific, too. I still like the fact you have to "study" the first one to "get it." Anyway, you made two great photographs.

Two great shots.
In the first image I love the feeling of movement. To capture an instant that seems to move continuously.
The second image seems to explain the situation of the first. Here you can see more clearly the shapes of the ceramic pieces.
