Reflections of Avocets
Lens: Pentax 70-200 F 2.8 Camera: k1 Photo Location: Greenpond SC ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/1250s Aperture: F8
Posted By: spflycaster, 04-21-2018, 05:54 PM

First time trying the k1 with my 70-200 and the 1.4 extender. the vignetting is pretty minor in some photos, others have to be cropped. These Avocets are in their breeding plumage which makes them extra special. The little birds following them are Yellow legs

This photo tells a story. I can't be quite sure what's going on with these birds, but it's clearly something.

It looks like those three pecked too hard at something and bent their beaks. Makes me want to take some pliers and straighten them out.

I really like the symmetry of the composition. And I think getting five birds into the frame must be exactly the perfect amount!
