Dusty Desert Sunset
Posted By: AZGMDale, 04-29-2018, 09:13 PM

Taken handheld in a hurry. Was driving home from a busted full moonrise location because of high winds, dust, and clouds when I looked to my right and saw the sun setting over these layers through the dust. Stopped along the road, changed lenses, rushed to a high spot, and shot several frames before the sun was gone. Got lucky.

A "Once in a Lifetime" shot! Magnificent.
Thank you Dewman. Actually, we have dust storms quite often here, so I'm definitely adding this location to my list of favorites to revisit often.

Absolutely love this iconic Arizona shot. Fantastic - and it's not all luck - skill and patience plays a part too.

For a hurried shot, this is particularly impressive!

Thank you Photogoof. It gets dusty here quite often, so I'm going to try this shot again, but plan to be more prepared next time.

Love the multiple layers of mountains in front of the sunset. Well done.

There is certainly no shortage of sunsets in cyberspace, but this one stands out. Intensely beautiful, and well captured.
