Focal Length @ 92mm, Manual Exposure Mode, used Olympus Speedlight with Spot Metering. I attempted to adjust for the hot spots and this was the best I could do.

Hi Tony, awesome photo because it's almost like it's sitting high on a branch, I've never seen or don't remember a duck shot like this before. All of the duck shots I can remember are of them in the water or down low by the waters.

Hi LeDave,

The Oregon Wood Duck nests in trees near water, sometimes directly over water, but other times over a mile away. We have been fortunate enough to observe the ducklings scaring up the courage to take a dive out of their nests in the trees and land either on the ground or in water.
