Cholla Cactus Sunrise
Posted By: DeadJohn, 05-03-2018, 01:47 PM

Joshua Tree National Park, California. These cacti take on a warm glow at sunrise and sunset. Most of the selfie-takers are still asleep at sunrise, making it a peaceful time to do photography.

Taken with a Panasonic GX-85 (micro four-thirds) and kit 12-32 lens. I left my K-1 system at home because I needed to pack lightly. I wish I had my 15-30 or DA 15 Limited lens with me.

Love the lighting! The golden color against the needles looks gorgeous.

This should be an example for those who obsess over equipment - you did very well.

You capture the essence of a Cholla forest.
