And a Black Noddy. There were around 200 Noddies roosting on Green Island. I'm not sure if they actually nest on the island.

Mille grazie! I have a couple more reasonable bird photos from the trip which I'll add - one of a Buff-banded Rail and the other of a Spectacled Flycatcher.

I visited Green Island a couple of years ago and took many pics of the Buff Banded Rail. They are unavoidable aren't they. We have the sunbirds as regular visitors to out garden. Should have come farther north and visited us here!.

I'd like to go further north on the Cape, but it's definitely something which requires a lot of planning - and being August, preferably!
Yes, the Rails are a surprising trip hazard on Green Island. I went there back in 2005 and didn't see any, so they seem to be a recent addition.
