Going after some smaller prey now? LOL. I really like your bird photography. Do you find these little guys harder to shoot, or the bigger birds?

hello Alvin,

The Siberian Chiffchaff is a curiosity in te Netherlands. And this one is sitting in my neighborhood.

I think both are hard to shoot.

regards Walter

Just re-read your post, and realized that you did not like these shots? Why? Is it perhaps the slight grain that I'm noticing from shooting at the higher ISO? I like them!

I think they still have a nice quality. There are absolutely no complaints about your composition skills either. My favorite is still the Stonechat. Very nicely colored bird and his pose for you tells me that he is dressed up for a full page spread in "Gentleman's Quarterly" magazine.

great shots, as usual. it's funny how most of us would probably be thrilled to consistently get the shots you are not satisfied with.

Hello and TY very much for the compliments

Yea I must admid I do not like the grain, but that has a reason There is another forum who wanted very high oversharpened and saturated photo's sometimes that is giving no realistic pictures. These ones are not PP much and are more how the birds are in real!

So I must probably more happy with photo's like this (chif's photos I mean)

Hi Walter.

The photos are great and I found little noise in your shots being ISO 800

My ISO 800 shots would require a lot of Despeckle to do with some compromising of sharpness. Daunting to process a lot of shots when some birding shots are underexposed.

Your shots are very fantastic!
