Just to be clear, that's a Pentax WR or AW lens attached to the K-1.
When I first saw this post on my phone I misconstrued it.

I would do that. I go out I in the rain. I wont change lenses or use a non wr lens though. My k5 and k3ii have both been quite wet.

I unintentionally submerged my K50. The LCD display went black. Removed the battery and soaked the camera in rice for a week and all was well. Been working fine ever since then.

Wouldn’t do that on purpose, but did get my K100D completely submerged in the river, twice!
Still works!

I wouldn't try that. Why take a chance ? As others have said, it is water resistant.....not water proof.
