K70 DA*300 plus TC HD 1.4x

BTW I seem to get better and sharper results having the DA*300 plus TC HD 1.4x combination on my K-70 then on my K-1 wonder why that is?? Any ideas?

Beautiful shots, both of them.... but #2 seems to have a great deal of 3-D effect! Magnificent sharpness! Bravo.

The smaller sensor is only seeing the center of the frame versus the K-1 which gets to see the corners and edges. So there are potentially more abberations to deal with the K-1 although the DA*300 is an exceptional performer. Also, if you are a jpeg shooter, the K-70 has the accelerator unit which likely brings some secret sauce to the processing.

Great bird shots!!

Great shots! What kind of bird is this?
Can't help with the focus question. Could it have anything to do with the weight difference? The K-1 is quite a bit heavier than my K-5 so I have to concentrate more on holding it still.

The K-70 smaller density ASP-C has finer pixels to a versus the larger pixel on the K1, so the K1 at ASP-C crop is 16 megapixels where the K-70 is 24 megapixels a vs 8 megapixel to k1. my best display at the moment. cheers

Thx Jerry, as far as I could pin it its a so called Tufted Flycatcher, but not 100% sure about it.

Dont think its the weight difference the heavy body balances well with the used combo, but who knows.

I tried it both ways FF and crop on the K-1 but always get better results from the K-70 that is with the combo DA*300 plus TC HD 1.4X, with the DA* alone I get good results from both cams.
