K400 and SR

K400 and SR · 12:51 AM

On monday I decided to take my K400 f5.6 for a spin. The forcast was for bright sunny day, so I was hoping for decent shutter speeds. As usually in England, the forecast was wrong, and I ended up with cloudy overcast day. The shutter speed dropped accordingly so I was really glad I have SR. These two shots were both taken at f8 handheld with shutter speed 1/30 and 1/40. I think they both look great and C&C welcome...

thanx for the comments guys. I managed to upload the second shot, but I'm not happy at all with how it looks like in here. The same applies for the first one... I just don't know why but the lost sharpness and cotrast when uploaded. Viewing them from HDD using any software, they look much better. This is driving me insane and I don't know why it's happening...

I like these both! Great pictures! You might want to remove the bright leaf above (and below) the second birds head to bring it out of the background!

You should post these in the K Club thread in the Pentax SLR Lens discussion area so other K series users can see how good the K400. is
