Great photograph. I also have a K10D and a 55-300...solid combination.

Thanks for your comment, Lesmore. Interestingly enough, this is the first time I've felt a bit let down by the K10D and 55-300 combo. With "only" 10 megapixels to play with, many of the photos taken at the air show didn't allow for much cropping and even at the 300mm end, some pictures still needed some pretty serious cropping.

Thanks, SSGGeezer! It is a bit of a challenge to pan a bird flying that fast!
You did well! And the Canikon crew thinks you need the best AF to shoot anything moving as fast as a bicycle! Technique trumps gear as you so completely prove here.

I appreciate the encouragement, SSGGeezer. I have no experience with Canon or Nikon but have always been for the most part satisfied with my Pentax gear even if it is getting somewhat "long in the tooth."

It really is, I saw the Canada 150 jet do a fly over.
