I like these sort of moody pics, I have similar ones with lots of snow coming down. Very nice. To cool you down on a hot summer day, drag the pic out to cool you down.


Since this is the place to share experiences please consider;

Remove the purple cast which spoils the pic a wee bit. The sun is often just behind the snow laden clouds and in a mysterious way penetrate the clouds, so the falling flakes on their way to the ground reflect rays from the sun so that the overall light is “leaning” toward the yellow spectrum. Not a lot but certainly noticeable. I have seen it many times during my annual ski trips to Japan.

It is a tough call for any automatic white balance to get it right.
