Are these pictures JPEGs created by the camera, or did you edit the 'raw' file and make your own JPEG?

For high ISO they are nicely detailed.

If you downscaled to reach that final 1176x800 size, could you crop an area around the head to get that size so we could see how much detail it is delivering at that ISO?

These show the capability of the K-1, I wouldn't have guessed they were as high ISO as that, thanks for sharing

I really like the bokeh framing used in the second picture. Impressive ISO numbers too!

Yes I downscaled to 1200x800, I suppose I could put a crop together

Here is a 2400x1600 pixel crop, pre-sharpening, pre-final NR, maybe a bit lighter than the gallery image, 2.7mb

Thank you very much! That shows what I was hoping to see. Yes, there is still some noise there, but that is what I would expect. Most of the detail I would want is also there, so this camera is not the "Great Detail Destroyer" that some would claim.

I agree, besides you'd need to print large and compare at close range to see the difference, a bad lens sample or a slight miss-focus will do more damage to the detail.

Yes, I understand that - but there has been so much fussing about the 'accelerator', I'm interested in what real people are getting taking real actual pictures in the field. Thank you.

I'm happy to help, I am usually good with the numbers but there are occasions like this were seeing is more helpful than reading.
