Why the Prickly Attitude?

A fellow who got all upright and prickly when I tried to take his picture. If I hadn't seen him and stopped to take a picture he would have had my radial tires on the backside he is showing here in the second picture.

Thanks for sharing, you certainly don't want those spikes in your tires!

I have a modern car with that horrible plastic air dam underneath that would get shredded before my tires ever got to him. Those spikes don't make them invincible to vehicles but they don't realize that yet. At least I don't have a dog that likes to chase them or roll in the road killed ones. I hear about the vet's bills from folks with dogs that won't learn either.

In a display cabinet away in a mountain lodge out here (Bugaboo lodge), there's a cougar with many spikes in it's mount neck area. That's how it died, and it was a big cougar too. Chances are that the porcupine lived.
