K-3 and DA 100 macro with HD DA 1.4 TC

The wold flowers around the garden are causing all kinds of activity. This section usually gets mowed as part of the lawn, today it was just full of life.

Nice! - and I really mean that, I just can't find any other word to describe the bokeh in these images! These images are very good to my eyes.

Do the butterflies "just come"? How far away from the plants do you have to be to avoid "spooking" them?

Thanks for commenting. The DFA 100 has the best bokeh of the macros I own, even with the 1.4 on it.

These are the first flowers this year and the insects are all over them. My basic strategy was pick a spot, point my camera and wait until they come into range , maybe not always on the plant I picked but always close. The first four are all the same butterfly. I guess he just like having out with me. Unlike the Swallow tail I never got close enough to to get a shot of.
