Maternal Instincts... glad I was in my truck...

I'm not sure who was more surprised to see the other, but man am I glad Pentax DNG's are flexible. It's always good to check that you're set on the mode you expect to be in and not start underexposing your shots by 3-4 stops... Next camera has to have a locking mode dial.

Geeezzzz, what a wonderful wildlife series. That equipment combination is some potent apparatus. So sharp you can count the hairs on her chinny, chin, chin. Awesome photography and thanks so much for sharing.

All are great and the first one is funny as the youngster looks very surprised by you. Momma moose was watching closely in that last image though, that is a sign you should back off a bit. AS long as you don't get between mom and babies or startle them you should be fine around them outside of the rut when males are around. KP has the button to stop the mode dial from rotating unless depressed.

The top one would be a perfect one to add a caption.

Beautiful, and you sure saved these photos well if they were underexposed!
