This beach is a national park and so you have guards always, some of the eggs are sold to pay these guards and the rest (apron. 80%) are conserved. The turtles lays the eggs on the same beach were they born. I just saw the begging of the arribada, one day after the beach was all covered by turtles ...

Nice series of something not many of us are privileged to see. Hoping to see many more pictures of Costa Rica from you.

In both the announcement of the K-1 give-away and the comments he made later, @Adam indicated that part of his objective is to get more traffic here - more photos submitted and more photos observed {and commented upon}. As of last night, we as a community were about 25 hours behind the pace needed to win a K-1 for someone; if you and others were to make more posts, then I could go back to my historical record of fewer than five posts per day, which normally meant no posts at all in this section, but until that happens I will continue my search for over-looked gems.

Beautiful series of photos

And great job reh321 for helping reach a goal that means a new camera for one very lucky person. I don’t figure I’ll win but I want to help reach that goal

Thank you for your encouragement and help - your post and my response move us two posts closer. In order to be "on schedule", we would need to be at 66.67% {we're currently at 61.59%} in another 10-1/2 hours - I don't think anyone expects us to make up all of the gap during that time, but every step counts.

And thank you for raising this issue. The way people blythley talk about preparing for the raffle, but do so little otherwise, I don't think they're aware how tenuous @Adam's promise is. People who post primarily in this section could help so immensely if they would just post a little more each day .... so I wouldn't have to.
