Very cool - really opened my eyes! I like a few people in the pic, which gives this place some scale.

Yes, near there.
In Maryland.
The largest it the stop before this one, it is only a few steps longer.

Nice shot, this may be the second largest escalator in the USA but there are longer and/or steeper ones in other places in the world. Escalator - Wikipedia
