The last rays of the setting sun... · **8 Likes**

Winters here aren't really too hard to take

just caught the last rays of the setting sun while waiting for the sunset. This is a 15 frame stitch in PS, but the remarkable thing (to me at least), is that they are shot at 18mm focal length. I have (had? ) a self imposed rule of a minimum of 35mm for pano stitches, and while you can see the distortion in the aircraft contrail curling overhead, I thought the overall effect was quite pleasing.

Quite pleasing indeed, what with the colors (esp. the oranges against the blues).
I would just clone out that red flare near the top of the frame, perhaps crop a little from the sides, but I'm not sure about what final framing I'd like, so yours is ok
