Tell me, am I a handsome fellow, or what? Which side do you think is my good side?

For a several weeks I have had a bunch of Tom turkeys hanging around outside my office window. The glass is highly reflective, so they think they are looking at another turkey They have no idea that I am about 2' away from them. I finally took a few shots through the window which proved difficult because of a lot of inside reflection as well.

They think they are handsome! And obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. We have them all over around my town. I have nearly hit two with my car in the last month.

*gobble gobble*

We had turkeys for a while, though the males can be quite mean, and then they make for the stew pot

Thanks for sharing

There is a street 20 yards beyond my window that they cross all of the time. I keep looking for the big pile of feathers...

I agree the best kind of turkey is the one in the oven.

Nice shot.

Have you tried using a polarizer? It might help to get rid of the reflections.

We raise turkeys (among other things) the last one to "go" was a Tom, who was so sweet I couldn't kill him. he would follow me into my feed room, follow me everywhere. my husband was mad he wasn't in the freezer with our other critters we raise for food. Sadly he died last weekend (of natural causes, his head was still in tact) Turkeys are kind of disgusting. I actually think they are worse than the pigs. But they are quite tasty so I'll raise them again when it's time.

Anyway, nice shots. Their heads and the texture, colors and details are always fascinating

I do use them but unfortunately I didn't have it in my bag that day.

Thanks Beth. It is hard not to get attached to animals that you raise.
