The Best of My Bees Vol. # 1
Lens: Various Camera: Various Photo Location: Idaho
Posted By: Dewman, 06-24-2018, 06:55 PM

Unfortunately, due to ill health and the effects of advancing age, I can no longer go afield with my camera gear and participate in the one thing that used to bring me the most joy of the many hobbies I once had. So, I've been going through my portfolio and selected what I consider "The Best" images from several different categories I've collected over the years.

I hope you don't mind if many.... if not most.... of these have been posted at one time or another over the past few years. I have enjoyed participating so much on The Pentax Forum and this will be my "Last Hurrah" of sorts. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Those are terrific! I love the first one with the huge pollen cakes on the bee. Is the second one a blue and black bee? What species is that?

Thanks for the comments. As far as the "blue and black bee," I'm not sure but I suspect that what I'm seeing on MY monitor is not what you're seeing on YOURS. I DO notice a slight blue tinge on it's head, but.... other than that, I see no real blue. I might mention that this was one of my first attempts at using a reversing ring on a Pentax-M 50mm f:1.4 lens.
