First Hummingbird in yard!
Lens: Sigma 300 F4 Macro w 1.4x TC Camera: K3
Posted By: csa, 07-01-2018, 01:54 PM

This Spring I planted Monarda & Butterfly bushes, in hopes of attracting butterflies and even a hummingbird.

Well, today, a wonderful surprise; a hummer! Not sure what it is, thinking it may be a female Calliope. I was absolutely thrilled to not only see my first one in the yard, but be able to photograph it.

All photos were handheld.

Thanks so much! I've also not seen any around here, before today! It was certainly a thrill to watch it!

That are some wonderful images Carol, your efforts paid of and I think you're right, female Calliope
