First attempt at stitching a panorama
Posted By: PancakeFlipper, 07-02-2018, 12:54 PM

Meteora, Greece

This is my first stitching using Affinity Photo on my IPad. It’s probably around 20 pictures stitched together. I didn’t edit anything so there are probably some stitching errors, but i like it. Of course I did the normal things wrong. I needed some more sky and didn’t have any and I should have shot a few more on the edges.

I tried hugin, but my computer must be too slow and old to handle it, maybe I should do one row and then the next row and the next row then stitch them together.

It was a wonderful place and I hope to go again

Nice shots! That house wouldn't be the place to be if you're a sleepwalker

Greece, Meteora up Macedonia way!
Nice shots. After you do basic editing for exposure etc, you can use Microsoft ICE for panos. Easy and free.

Yes, Meteora Greece, it’s a beautiful place, I’d recommend it to everyone. The monestaries are pretty interesting to visit, but we were warned not to take pictures of the nuns, monks and interiors, it’s so beautiful I wish I took more pictures

I have seen several documentaries, they are inhabited by monks, and there is no elevator, they lead a life of seclusion. monks to get off used a net, retractable stairs or ropes.

I found a photo very similar to your as a framing.

I’m going to have to watch the documentaries too, so much information given on tours and so little time to absorb it all. I saw the cart being pulled over with people in it. They make it easier for tourists to get into the monestaries now with bridges and foot paths.

I’m not surprised to see a photo with similar framing, buses stop at the scenic overlook and I’m sure every person that visits takes a bunch of photos there. It’s magical and so beautiful.
