Lovely colours! although it feels a little dark. Imho it could use a little bit more detail in the background. But the focal point is chosen very nicely.

It's kinda become my "trademark" / "style" type of flower image, all of them are this way. People know it's one of mine when they first see it, which is good considering that there are so many fine flower photographers out there.

IMHO there's nothing worse than blown out blooms.

This one was shot at 2 stops under to retain detail.

That's a great idea besides it puts more focus on the flower itself
